Text Conversation:
Me: Jov...
Jovelyn: Kinsa ni?
Me: Si Charry Hannah Catingub...Complete kaayo ba...Hahahaha!Kahinumdom paka nako?
Jovelyn: uu wui...kahinumdom kaayo...ang akong ka cold war sauna...hahahaha...
Me: Hahaha...uu...ang imong ka cold war pag high school...Hehehehe!

When I was in 3rd year high school, and our teacher touched the topic about the Cold War, me and my classmate Jovelyn started to have our own own interpretation of Cold War.  Everytime we see each other, we give each other a snob.  Hehehe!  Then we will laugh because of how silly we act.  Snobbing each other without any reason.  Hehehe!

So when I texted her this morning after Lea told me that Jovy is looking for somebody who will go together with her to Lea's Baby boy's birthday party, she said that how could she not remember the girl who played a silly game with her.  Hahahaha!

See you Jov...

Halu Day!!!

Tall, thin, chinky eyed, with small teeth, witty, so fun to be with and kind.  That's what I can say if someone would ask me to describe my good friend back in college who we call by his surname, Lim.  I first met Lim on our organization meeting.  I was appointed as the governor for our year back when I we were still in our first year in college and he was appointed as treasurer I think.  His classmates was keep on calling him as "Sandara" at that time.(I really don't know why.  Maybe because he has chinky eyes.  Hehehe!)  My first impression of Lim was, he was really friendly.  He is really a people person.  He absolutely became the  bestfriend of everybody.  As time pass by, since, we were always together for meetings and for the different activities of our organizations, we really did became good friends.  I even invited him to enter CCYM, which he really did became a member.  For me Lim is a kind of friend whom you can really depend on in times of trouble.  I really love hanging out with him because of his being so talkative and funny.  Hehehe!

I don't know, why I suddenly think about him today.  I missed him so much.  The last time I saw him was a long time ago.  I was eating in Orange Brutus in Ayala and he passed by the together with his friends.  But since, I was eating and they were in a hurry, I did not have time to say hi to him.  :((  I really hope to see him again and hang-out with him just like old times.

Paging...Paging... Lim... Kung asa kaman...Pagparamdam sad day... Mishu much... Mmmmwaaahhhh...

Mini Keyk

Last Saturday, Ate and I, decided that we will buy mini keyks and make and icing then top the icing to the mini keyks.  It was really her project.  She texted me last Monday, asking me if I know how to make icing.  She wants to make an icing then top it on a cupcake then give it to dokie.  I agreed to help her on her project since I also want to make some for Cocoy.  Hehehehe!

So last Saturday, we went to Metro Gaisano to buy the ingridients.  Before we went there, I googled on the internet on some icing recipes.  I chose the Royal Icing and Chocolate Frosting.  I relayed to her the ingridients and how to make the icing as what I have read on the internet. At t  She told me that we will just make the royal icing.(I really didn't know what on earth royal icing at that time.)  At the grocery store, I thought we will just use a white sugar.  At the time that we were about to pay, I then asked her, "was it just white sugar? or we have to use confectioner's sugar?"  I then, run fast from the cashier to where isle of the baking needs is.  Fortunately, I then found the icing sugar that we should be using.

At the time we arrived in our house, I then started to make the icing.  In the middle of my icing making, I then realized that ate went upstairs to login on her FB.  (Haist.  Here we go again.  Her project but I will be the one who will make it.)  i then asked Jeco to call ate so that she can help me.  She then went downstairs but I was already done mixing the icing.  So all she have to do is to decorate her Mini Keyks.  Sigh!

This morning, I gave the Mini Keyks which I decorated with icing to Cocoy.  I was so happy looking at him eating the mini keyks.  Hehehehe!  Next week I am planning to cook puto cheese for him.  Hehehehe!

Mga Laagan

Yesterday, my cousin Jojie, finally arrived.  We've been telling her for months to come here in Cebu.  But she kept on delaying it because she has no enough money for her plane ticket.  An hour after she arrived, we then went to Carbon market and then to Colon.  In one of the stores where we went to, the three of us(jojie, my sister and me) bought this cute angry birds spoon and fork and chopsticks set.  Hehehe!  We even bought the same color of those cute tableware set.  Hehehe!

After we had our Carbon and Colon tripping, Jojie and I then went to church to attend a mass.  After attending the mass, and change our clothes, Jojie and I then went strolling to look for a Tuslob Buwa vendor, but unforutnately we found none.  So we went to a store who was selling lugaw and lolog, but sadly, there was no loglog.  So since, we ate will be cooking escabeche and Jojie and I will be cooking, lumpia with cheese, we just settled with green mango and bagoong.  Hehehe!  We then went to our house to start making the lumpia with cheese.

After dinner, the three of us with ate's boyfriend, went to a nearby store who is selling halo-halo.  We ate halo-halo and talked like the old times.  After devouring the halo-halo, we strolled around our barangay before heading back home.

I really miss times like that.  The three of us, always hanging out.  Laag diri, laag didto.  Hehehe!  Hopefully, next year, Jojie will really stay here in Cebu for good.

You're My Inspiration

What would you feel if somebody will tell you that you are his/her inspiration?  Happy, right?  At the same time, pressured.  Pressured, to live your life well.  But still, it really makes us happy that somebody has thought that we are worthy to be his/her inspiration.  Hehehe!

Last night when I went home.  My kid brother Jereco was still up.  He was busy studying.  When he saw me, he then told me that from now on, he will study harder.  My mother told him that if he will not study, he will not be on the list of honor students.  Then he might not get a good job in the future.  (Hehehehe!  Hadlokon ba gyud? Hahaha!)  Jeco told me that he was inspired to study harder because of me.  He wants to graduate and be in the list of top students.  (Baga sad akong atay.  Nyahahaha!)  I never really expected him to say that.  Hehehe!  I thought, Jereco just see me as the maldita and snob ate.  Hehehehe!

Thanks Jec.  Mwwaaaahhhhugzz.

Step One

Last night, since MC took me home early.  I started to sort out the books and stuffed animals that I am planning to sell.  And here are the items that I might sell.
  • 17 Stuffed Animals
  • Dart Board
  • Uno Stack-O
  • Humpty Dumpty Wall Game
  • 20 Books
I still have lots of stuffed animals in my bed and books in my bookshelf.  But still, with those, I now have a bigger space for me on my bed, empty spaces on my bookshelf that I could use to store other things.  I hope, my books and stuffed animals would really go to a person who can really take care of them.(murag unsa...nyahehehehe!)  So calling those who wants to read Bob Ong Books, V.C. Andrews books and who wants to give their kids, girlfriends a gift palit mo niya.  Hehehehe!

Itching Sole

My sole is itching to go somewhere.  To have some adventure.  To see new places.  Every time I open my personal mail, I always receive a mail from Cebu Pac or AirPhil Express of their promo fares.  I am always tempted to just book a plane ticket for me to any of the provinces here in the Philippines.  But fear always takes over me.  Fear that I may not have enough money to support the trip.  Fear that I may get lost ones I get there.  Yesterday, there was another promo again.  I
tried to book a ticket, just to check if the date that I wanted is not yet sold out.  And guess what?  There were still available seats.  But I chickened out again.  I closed the site without booking any ticket.  I think, I will never be able to accomplish my goal to travel 23 more provinces before I reach 30.  I know, that goal is to shallow, but for me it isn't.  For me it's like facing my fears.  To be independent.  And to be brave enough to face any challenges in life.

Cheong Ek Genocidal Center

Some people would think that, blogging, posting something in facebook and twitter is just a waste of time, purely nonsense.  They would think that, posting your activities or some information on the internet through blogging, facebook and twitter is a way to brag to people or will just result to misunderstandings.  Well, for me, its not just that.  We can also get good insights and information from other people.

Yesterday, out of boredom, again, I continued reading the Sole Sister's blog.  I came across one of their entries which talked about the Cheong Ek Genocidal Center in Cambodia.  Cheong Ek Genocidal Center is the site wherein 107 million people in Cambodia has lost their lives.  It was during the reign of the Khmer Rouge headed by Pol Pot.  It was said that Pol Pot, did that because he wanted to build a communist regime.  Imagine, killing millions of people just for power.  Innocent, naive and powerless people.  Pol Pot has already died years ago but I know the wounds that he has caused to those survivors would still be causing them to be in pain up until now.  I hope that, that incident will serve as a lesson to us, an inspiration when life gets tough on us.  May we always think that even if life is so unfair, at least we are alive right now.  We have our freedom.  So live your life well, think of all those innocent people whose life was taken away because of the selfishness of some people.

Rainbow After the Storm

Everyday all of us wants to have a nice day, good month or best year.  But how can we really obtain as such if there will be times that the world seems to form an alliance or conspiring for us to have the worst day, month or year of our life.  It sucks, right?  You just want to hide from everyone.

Well, for me, if this would happen, honestly, I would really be devastated.  But come to think of it, do we really have to dwell on those problems that the world has bombarded us?(which most of those problems are just our own doings...)  Do we really have to be gloomy and keep on sulking?  Why not think that all of those problems will just pass by and everything has its reasons.  Be optimistic and the world will surely brighten.  Cheer up, stand up because everything will be okay.

Think of happy thoughts, be optimistic everyday, pray to God and your day will surely be beautiful.

Operation Bookshelf and Bed Space Clean-Up

Goodbye to buying, hello to selling.  Yes, you heard it right.
Well, I'm planning to sell some of the many stuffed toys and books that I own so that I can save up enough money for my Palawan trip(hopefully this will push through...) and the bicycle that I am planning to buy.  I'll sorting out my stuff this weekend on what items I will be selling.  Hopefully I can let go of my stuffs.  Hehehehe!  If I can let go of my stuffed animals, there will be more space for me on my bed now.  I can sleep better.  Hehehe!

Good luck to me... Nyahehehehe!

Confessions of a Shopaholic

Hi I'm Hannah and I'm a Shopaholic.  It has just been 18hours since I have gone to a department store and shopped.  Sigh!

Try as I might, I can't just resist buying those cute blouse, dresses, shorts, skirts, pants, shoes and other things that my eyes could see and my heart desires.  I've been telling myself, over and over, "Stop buying things that you don't need.  Save! Save! Save!"  But I can't.  Especially when I see a sign outside the store which reads, "SALE".  Waaaaaaaaahhhhhh!  Stop me please!

For the past 3 weekends, I think, I've been to different shops, to buy what I thought I needed.  But as I recall, 2 or 3 of what I bought are really what I needed.  They are mostly what I want.  It was just my excuse that I needed them so that I won't feel guilty.

I desperately have to get a hold of myself.  I really have to save up.  I have lots of things to prioritize other than buying clothes, shoes, bags, trinkets and books.  I really have to be serious and really have to be true to my word when I say, "Don't buy.  SAVE UP!"  From now on, I should try harder to resist the temptation to shop.  Every week, I should try to save 500 pesos and put it in my Mr. Piggie.  Hehehe!  Hopefully, this time, I could really follow this.

My First Milo Run/Walk

After we have experienced a 3k fun run at SM, Ate and I told ourselves that, that was just one of
the many marathons that we will be joining from now on.  So last September 9, Ate registered us
for the Milo Marathon.  It was held yesterday.  The starting point was in front of CNU and its
finish line was inside the Abellana Sports Complex.

A night before the said event, I set my alarm to 4:16 AM because the marathon will start by 5:30
AM.  But by the time my phone shouted that it was time to wake up I just turned it off and went
back to sleep.  Hahaha!  Luckily, Ate, woke me up a minute before 6Am so that I could get ready.
By 5:15, my friend Bryan already called us that he was already waiting for us outside CNU.  So Ate
and I, hurriedly started to walk so that we wouldn't be late.

At the time we arrived at the starting point, there were already so many people.  Ate and
I had a hard time locating where Bryan and Ate's officemates where waiting.

When the marathon started, since, there were so many people who joined, instead of running, for the whole race, we were just walking.  It was not a marathon anymore, it was like a procession, or walking the Jones Avenue for the Sinulog festival.  Hahahaha!  We finished the marathon with a time of 1 hour and 16 minutes.  Hehehe!

I hope the next time Milo would held a marathon, they would limit the number of people who will join or not, they will organize it properly.

Exploring His Hometown...

"I believe that traveling with someone is the ultimate relationship test. "

This has long been overdue, since what I'll be telling you happened last September 9-11 of this year.  But I still want to share it here so that I won't forget it.  Hehehe!  But I think I won't really be able to forget it, I may forget the exact date but the memories that I have experienced will always be remembered.  Charmous... Nyahahaha!

What I'm talking about was my trip in Dumaguete.  It wasn't really my first time to go there.  But as they all said, we may visit a place a gazillion of times, but the experience will always be different depending of who you will be with.

The first time I visited Dumaguete city was last 2007, when my cousin graduated in college in Siliman University.  I really did not have the chance to explore the city since, we were just inside the resort where we stayed most of the time.(Don't ask me the name of the resort 'coz I always forget it...Hehehehe!)

For my second visit, I'm with MC.  He invited me over since it was a long weekend and he also want to spend some time together.  I willingly said yes, since I also wanted to spend some time with him and to explore his hometown along with him.  Exploring Dumaguete with MC was really a nice experience.  It feels like I am also discovering a part of him.  I was able to discover a lot about him on that trip, like his childhood days.

First thing you will notice in Dumaguete is that, there are a lot of restaurants all over the place.  You will never really get hungry when you want to stroll around the city.  Another thing that I notice and what I like there is how clean the air is and the peacefulness of the city.  You can just stroll around the town without worrying being mobbed and without worrying of your lungs.  Nyahehehehe!

I've always been a nature lover.  Walking barefoot at the beach or on a grass carpeted garden.  Exploring the mountains, is what I really love to do.  And if you want to experience the beauty of nature and still want to have an access to malls, shops and restaurants, well, Dumaguete is really the place you should be.  You can even come across some snakes on the road during the night.  Hehehehe!  But don't worry it's totally safe there.

If you are planning to go there, don't forget to bring some sylvannas for me...  Hehehehe!
